The GSXRs

The GSXR line has always been exciting. Consistently winning races in all classes of motor sport and always seen at the local McDonald%u2019s parking lot, these bikes were designed to be thoroughbreds that can race, cruise and tear up mountain twisties.
I had the privilege of owning the K6 GSXR 1000. It had to have been the most exciting bike I%u2019ve ever ridden. There were zero flaws on the K5 and K6 models. Now though, Suzuki has had to evolve and comply with strict emission regulations just to get the bikes on the road. Suzuki needs to revive the K5-K6 spirit. They
have a lot on their shoulders if they are to compete with Yamaha, Kawasaki and Honda for 2009. Yamaha%u2019s big-bang engine, Honda%u2019s ABS 1000, and Kawasaki%u2019s special Monster Energy sponsored ( laughs ) line up are all gunning to win your heart and wallet next year.
On 25 September 2008, Suzuki reveals their new GSXRs to the world. It will answer many questions we all have been speculating. We%u2019re mostly concerned with the dual exhaust. We%u2019d love to see it go. The big GSXR needs to become a lightweight again. Even though it has had it%u2019s stomping mill to overcome it%u2019s beer belly, a leaner meaner GSXR is needed next year to compete with it%u2019s Japanese cousins.
